Account data (name, email, profile details), learning activity (course progress, practice sessions, XP and badges), practice recordings you submit, community content you post, and payment records (handled by our payment providers — we never see or store card numbers).
To run the platform: generating your AI speech feedback, tracking course progress, issuing certificates, showing community activity, processing purchases, and sending transactional emails (receipts, password resets). We do not sell your personal data.
Practice recordings are processed by speech-analysis and language models to produce your feedback. They stay private to your account unless you choose to share a score card to the community. You can delete recordings from your practice history.
Your name, profile picture, XP, streak, badges, and posts are visible to other members inside the community and on the leaderboard. Certificates are only publicly viewable if you set them to public.
Payment processing (Stripe and, where enabled, Paystack for M-Pesa), transactional email delivery, and Google sign-in if you choose it. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
You can access and update your profile at any time, and you can request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing support@el-speak.com. Deleting your account removes your personal data, subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and passwords are stored hashed. We will update this policy as the platform evolves and note the date above. See also our Terms of Service.
